Forward Petar Musa was the star of the evening, netting his first hat trick for FC Dallas with goals in the 17th, 38th, and 62nd minutes. Each of Musa's goals was assisted by a different teammate—Paul Arriola, Bernard Kamungo, and Sebastian Lletget. Musa, who now leads the team with eight goals this season, delivered the club’s first hat trick since Jesús Ferreira's against Portland in March 2022.
Jesús Ferreira added to the excitement with his fourth goal of the season, scoring Dallas’ fourth goal of the night. This goal also marked Ferreira's 52nd for the club, tying him for 12th place in most games played in FC Dallas history with 153 appearances.
Logan Farrington, the 2024 SuperDraft pick, capped off the scoring with his first regular season goal for FC Dallas in the 90th minute. Farrington's debut goal in MLS comes after his first professional goal scored in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against Memphis 901 FC.
Interim head coach Peter Luccin made history by becoming the first FC Dallas interim head coach to win his first two games in charge. Luccin’s leadership has propelled the team to consecutive home victories, with this game being the first time FC Dallas scored five goals at home since 2019.
The match was witnessed by a sold-out crowd, marking the ninth consecutive sellout of the 2024 season at Toyota Stadium. This achievement is a first in the club's history, highlighting the growing support and enthusiasm for FC Dallas.
FC Dallas will next face Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday, June 22, at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. The match will kick off at 9:30 PM CT and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, the FC Dallas app in both Spanish and English, and on Talk Radio 1190 AM in English.
