The quarter ended with a flourish, as a buzzer-beating three-pointer from Rikki Harris extended the lead to 21-15. Jacy Sheldon, who tied her season-high with an outstanding 31 points, began her impressive performance by entering double figures in the second quarter.
Belmont fought back in the second quarter, briefly taking a 22-21 lead. However, Ohio State closed the first half with a 10-2 run, including another buzzer-beating three-pointer from Harris, securing a 38-28 lead heading into halftime.
The Buckeyes continued their dominance in the third quarter, outscoring Belmont 29-19. Ohio State's strong defense forced turnovers, allowing them to build a substantial lead of 67-47 by the end of the quarter.
The fourth quarter showcased Ohio State's defensive prowess, allowing only one field goal from Belmont. The game concluded with an 84-55 victory for the Buckeyes.
