The prestigious event was held at the picturesque Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, providing a stunning backdrop for the historic victory.
Auburn's path to the championship was marked by impressive performances, including decisive wins against No. 9 Virginia and Ohio State in the semifinal and quarterfinal matches, respectively. Their resilience and skill culminated in a thrilling final match against Florida State.
In individual competition, Georgia Tech's Hiroshi Tai emerged as the champion on Day 4, overcoming a three-stroke deficit to claim the title with a final score of 285. Tai's victory highlighted his exceptional talent and determination throughout the tournament.
The championship journey began with team selections on May 1, followed by regional matches from May 13 to May 15, which determined the 156 participants for the championship round. The final stage of the tournament spanned from May 24 to May 29.
