SAINT-QUENTIN-EN-YVELINES, FRANCE – Excitement is building as the tee times for the first two rounds of the men's golf competition at the 2024 Olympic Games have been announced. The prestigious event will take place at Le Golf National, known for its challenging layout and historic moments.
The spotlight will be on the trio of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Ludvig Åberg, who are scheduled to tee off at 10:11 a.m. local time on Thursday. This group features three of the top four players in the Official World Golf Ranking, promising a thrilling start to the competition.
Another highly anticipated grouping includes defending gold medalist Xander Schauffele, fresh off his second major victory of the season at The Open Championship. He will be joined by Ryder Cup stalwarts Viktor Hovland and Jon Rahm, with their tee time set for 11:55 a.m. local time. This star-studded group is expected to attract significant global interest.
France's hopes will be carried by Matthieu Pavon, the highest-ranked French player in the 60-strong field. Pavon will tee off at 12:06 p.m. alongside American standout Collin Morikawa and Great Britain’s Olympic debutant Matt Fitzpatrick.
The competition will commence with Victor Perez of France hitting the opening tee shot at 9 a.m. local time. Perez will be paired with Germany’s Matti Schmid and C.T. Pan of Chinese Taipei, setting the stage for an exciting day of golf.
