SEC Soccer Awards 2023: Honoring Excellence on the Field and in the Classroom

Colby Hale, the head coach of the Arkansas soccer team, received the prestigious title of SEC Coach of the Year in 2023. On the academic front, Bea Franklin from Arkansas and Anna Haddock from Auburn jointly earned the distinction of Co-SEC Scholar-Athletes of the Year. Furthermore, Bea Franklin was also recognized as the SEC Midfielder of the Year, while Ava Tankersley, representing Arkansas, secured the title of SEC Forward of the Year. Gracie Falla of South Carolina was celebrated as the SEC Defender of the Year, and Heather Hinz, also from South Carolina, was named the SEC Goalkeeper of the Year. In a shared recognition, Megan Hinnenkamp from Florida and Summer Denigan from Georgia were awarded Co-SEC Freshmen of the Year.

The First Team and Second Team All-SEC honorees, as well as the All-Freshman Team, were determined through a selection process involving input from the 14 coaches in the league. It's worth noting that no ties were broken in this process.
