In a recent matchup, the 13th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (2-1) secured a convincing 88-66 victory against Boston College (2-2) on faculty/staff appreciation night. Ohio State dominated from the start, shooting an impressive 76.5 percent in the first quarter and establishing a commanding 32-11 lead after 10 minutes. The Buckeyes continued their sharpshooting prowess in the second quarter, entering halftime with a substantial 55-26 advantage.

The third quarter saw Ohio State extending their lead to 75-38, ultimately sealing the game with a final score of 88-66. Jacy Sheldon reached a milestone, becoming the 17th player in program history to score 1,500 points, achieving this feat with a three-pointer in the second quarter and finishing the game with a total of 16 points. Cotie McMahon contributed significantly with 24 points, 18 of which were scored in the first half, while Taylor Thierry added 18 points, utilizing 14 first-half points.

The game unfolded with McMahon opening the scoring, and Sheldon's back-to-back baskets contributing to a 6-0 run, establishing a 12-4 lead. Ohio State continued to dominate, closing the first quarter with a 32-11 lead. The second quarter featured Sheldon surpassing 1,500 career points with a three-pointer, leading the Buckeyes to a 55-26 halftime lead.

Scoring in the third quarter remained competitive, but Ohio State maintained their dominance, heading into the final quarter with a 75-38 lead. Despite a late push from Boston College in the fourth quarter, Ohio State secured the win with a final score of 88-66, highlighted by Emma Shumate's career-high 10 points.

Noteworthy achievements included Ohio State's second consecutive game with 50+ points in the first half, shooting 76.5 percent in the first quarter and 64.3 percent in the second quarter. The team demonstrated defensive prowess with at least 10 steals and 20 forced turnovers in each of the season's three games.

Jacy Sheldon's milestone of 1,500 career points was accompanied by impressive performances from Cotie McMahon and Taylor Thierry, both consistently scoring in double figures this season. Emma Shumate's career-high 10 points further contributed to Ohio State's success.
