In an impeccable display of skill and strategy, Josef Newgarden, a two-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion, clinched victory at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding, marking a spectacular start to the season. Driving the No. 2 PPG Team Penske Chevrolet, Newgarden not only showcased his driving prowess by leading 92 out of 100 laps but also secured his 30th career INDYCAR SERIES win, surpassing the legendary Rick Mears on the all-time win list.
